Guardian forms partnership with Southampton Solent University

A lecturer is always on hand if you have questionsGuardian Maritime recently attended the Solent Offshore Renewable Energy Consortium (SOREC) event, held at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. The event, held in conjunction with The European Union, Southampton Solent University, and the National Oceanography Centre, focused on “Turning the Tide”, with informative sessions on Tidal Energy, Commercial challenges and roundtable discussions.
Guardian were invitees of Southampton Solent University, who through their commitment to form links with partners from all sectors, have launched Knowledge Transfer Partnership. KTP is Europe’s leading programme for helping businesses to make better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base – enabling them to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance. Funded by the Technology Strategy Board, KTP is successful across the UK and is also one of the largest graduate recruitment programmes; aiding universities in driving the development of curriculum, training and research programmes.
Guardian Maritime are working closely with Southampton Solent University to form a partnership, offering an associate (recently qualified graduate) the opportunity to work on a key project for the business, providing valuable insight and experience for the associate, whilst providing strategic and competitive value for Guardian.
